Have you ever wanted to win an argument but didn’t know what to say? Or stood up in front of your class and couldn’t find the right words? This class is designed to build confidence, develop effective presentational skills, and cultivate critical thinking and astute listening to teach students how to articulate their thoughts to create valuable and efficient discourse.

Control Your Mind
Teacher: Brandyn Chan

With mental health now being recognized as equally important to physical health, this class teaches about cultivating a positive mind and utilizing practical strategies to control your own emotions and mental wellbeing. With an emphasis on introspection and mindfulness, the ability to understand your own mind and control your emotions in health ways is a critical life skill to master.

Coding 101
Teacher: Yumi Kim & TBA

Coding 101 covers a basic introduction to the principles of programming. Students engage in hands-on programming tasks in the Python programming language as they write and test their own code using the approaches real programmers use in the field.

Video Editing
Teacher: Liz Ramjit

Students will learn about all the key phases of production and how to create an appealing and efficient video. Students can explore their creativity and develop their ideas into Art forms through various art exercises such as video, photography, painting, music & poetry. This freedom of expression pairs with the vast amount of tools available to students to create videos such as Tik Tok and YouTube videos.

Music Production

Music technology is a launchpad into the arts and sciences and creative expression is an important part of any fulfilling life. in this class students will have an amazing time producing music and learning programs that can help create their own beats / songs.

Youth Group
Edge City Volunteers

At the end of the class, we offer a Youth Group session for our students that will engage in games for students to grow in friendship with one another, and a quick message followed by small group discussions where students can share thoughts and opinions in a safe space.
